How The Curryline Works

Great curry takes time.

Slow cooking, building layers of spice, soaking and cooking lentils and beans properly, marinating meat, developing sauces and giving everything enough time for the flavours to come together.

We put in the hours, so you don’t have to.

The Curryline takes properly cooked, flavour-packed curries and freezes them into convenient 100g individual blocks, giving you the freedom to take exactly what you need from the freezer whenever you need it.

No chopping. No simmering. No pile of pans.

Just heat, eat and enjoy.

One Pack. Two People. A Proper Feast.

Our standard mixed packs are designed to generously feed two people.

Each curry comes as two 100g blocks — one for each person.

So, for example, a pack containing four different curries gives you:

8 × 100g frozen curry blocks

That’s 4 different curries each, with approximately 400g of curry per person.

It means you get to enjoy a selection of dishes together rather than having to choose just one.

A little bit of daal.
A little bit of rajma.
A rich meat or chicken curry.
Another dish from the collection.

It’s our take on the Indian thali experience — a variety of complementary dishes brought together in one satisfying meal.

Serve it exactly as it is, or add rice, naan, roti, poppadoms or your favourite sides.

Why Frozen Blocks?

Because convenience shouldn't mean compromising on flavour.

Freezing the curries into individual portions means you can keep a proper home-cooked meal in your freezer and use only what you need.

Cooking for two? Heat the whole pack.

Eating alone? Take one block of each curry and save the rest.

Fancy a little more of your favourite? Add another block.

The portioned format also means less food waste and no half-used tubs sitting in the fridge.

Most importantly, the food is cooked first with the time and care needed to develop maximum flavour, then frozen to preserve it until you're ready to enjoy it.

Real ingredients. Proper cooking. No artificial preservatives. No unnecessary fuss.

From Freezer to Dinner

There’s no complicated preparation.

Your Curryline blocks can be heated straight from frozen using several different methods.

1. On the Hob

Stainless-steel balti/thali dish or saucepan

Place your frozen curry blocks directly into your dish or saucepan.

For 1 block:
Add approximately 1 tablespoon of water.

For 2 blocks:
Add approximately 2 tablespoons of water.

Heat gently over a low heat for approximately 10–12 minutes, stirring and turning the curry occasionally as it begins to melt.

Once melted, stir thoroughly and continue heating until the curry is piping hot and steaming throughout.

If the sauce becomes thicker than you like, simply add another splash of water.

A note about induction hobs

Our stainless-steel serving dishes may not be suitable for induction hobs.

If you have an induction hob, simply heat your curry in an induction-compatible saucepan and transfer it to your thali dish for serving.

2. In the Oven

Our stainless-steel dishes can also go directly into the oven.

Preheat your oven to:

180°C fan / 200°C conventional

Place 1–2 frozen curry blocks into the stainless-steel dish and add approximately 1 tablespoon of water per block.

Cover the dish securely with foil. Place in the centre of the oven.

Heat for approximately:

1 block: 20–25 minutes
2 blocks: 25–30 minutes

Carefully remove the foil halfway through, stir the curry as it begins to melt, then recover and return to the oven.

Before serving, stir well and make sure the curry is piping hot and steaming throughout, particularly in the centre.

If necessary, return it to the oven for another few minutes.

3. In the Microwave

The quickest option.

Do not put the stainless-steel dishes in the microwave.

Transfer the frozen curry blocks to a microwave-safe bowl and add approximately 1 tablespoon of water per block.

Cover loosely with a microwave-safe lid or plate.

As a guide for an 800W microwave:

1 block: Heat for approximately 3–4 minutes
2 blocks: Heat for approximately 5–6 minutes

Stop and stir thoroughly halfway through.

Once heated, stir again and allow to stand for around 1 minute.

Make sure the curry is piping hot and steaming throughout before eating.

Microwave strengths vary, so your curry may need a little longer.
